AN UNWRITTEN SCRIPT
Our story began not with grand gestures but with quiet alignment, a divine script penned long before we knew it.

THE GROOM'S VOW
Seyifunmi, do you remember the day we became ‘toad business partners’? God knows if not for those slimy creatures, we might never have become close. You said " Judah, if you find a seller, buy two. Just refund me later. You can do the same. Here's my number " You said it like we were opening a joint bank account. That day, I didn’t just get a toad. I got you. A friend who’d split costs, split fears, and eventually… split a lifetime with me.

THE BRIDE'S VOW
You know, the first time we met 11years ago, I didn’t and couldn’t bring myself to think much of it. Just two people, vibing, laughing, gossiping, making jokes, being best friends.I had no idea that my best friend would one day become my forever. But somehow, you made it impossible not to love you. How you understand me so well- even when I didn’t understand myself sometimes. Honestly, that’s a superpower.
THE STORY
Our story began not with grand gestures but with quiet alignment,
a divine script penned long before we knew it.

OUR FIRST MET
We first crossed paths on the sunlit grounds of the Obafemi Awolowo University campus, drawn together by a shared heartbeat for faith. At the Christian fellowship we both attended, I noticed her almost immediately: Seyifunmi, the woman with the laugh that bubbled like a hymn and a spirit as steady as scripture. Week after week, we lingered after services, going for tutorials organized by the fellowship, swapping stories of childhood mischief, and praying over exams. What started as fellowship soon grew into friendship; one rooted in trust, inside jokes, and a mutual love for Seun Riski (bread and egg) under Ọgbà Fẹ́mi stars.

FIRST DATING
For years, we were inseparable. Friends whispered, “Are they dating?” but we brushed it off, too wrapped in the comfort of friendship to see what God was weaving. Then, one ordinary evening, she tilted the axis of my world. She casually said, “Judah… I might be going into a relationship soon.” My heart dropped. Panic clawed at my throat. “Oh... Okay” I stammered. She noticed the mood change and grinned. “I'm just kidding.” In that moment, clarity struck like lightning. She asked why the sudden mood change like she didn't know what she was doing. At that moment, I realized that joke might become real one day, and even if God had already given me signs that she was the one, I would lose her if I didn't talk about it. Right there, I blurted, “I want you to marry me. I want you to be my wife.” She waited for every essential thing in our lives to align and said "Yes" exactly 2 years later.

HE PROPOSED
Five years of long-distance tested us; missed calls, and aching silence. But when we reunited, time collapsed. Our first date after those years apart wasn’t extravagant: just a quiet drive around Lagos, trying out restaurants, recounting every moment we’d missed. The sunset painted her in gold, and I realized distance had only deepened our bond. We didn’t need fanfare; we had us. Our joy has always been simple: togetherness. Whether gisting about trending news, sending each other trending videos on social media, binge-watching sermons, or sitting in comfortable silence, we’ve never needed more than each other’s presence. Even grocery runs feel like adventures when she’s video calling me, debating which and which to buy.

YOU'RE Welcome
OUR WEDDING
Together, we vow to raise a family anchored in Christ, where laughter echoes through hallways and grace covers every stumble. We dream of growing old as best friends—gray-haired, wrinkled, still debating trends over tea, still tickling each other senselessly.
